The oppression of religious minorities is becoming ever more widespread in Nepal. Since the anti-conversion law came into force in 2017, their situation  has become increasingly difficult. Discrimination and attacks in everyday life are on the increase.

CSI priorities:

  • Legal defense for Christians facing trial or detention
  • Practical assistance for victims of persecution, including shelter, medicine, and first aid
  • Training religious minorities on their legal rights and how to navigate persecution and discrimination
  • Interfaith training and capacity building for parliamentarians on international law and fostering peaceful religious coexistence
  • Family business training and start-up capital for the livelihood empowerment of persecuted Christians
