Bangladesh: Attacks on Christians and minorities after government overthrow

On August 5, the government of Bangladesh was overthrown. In the days since, Christians, Hindus, Ahmadiyya Muslims and political activists across the country have been attacked by Islamist forces. CSI's international president, Dr. John Eibner, has released the following statement.

Underage Christian girls being forcibly married, converted to Islam in northern Nigeria

In the 12 northern Nigerian states that have adopted Islamic shari’a law, minor Christian girls risk being abducted, forcibly converted to Islam and then married off to older Muslim men. Luka Binniyat spoke to the mother of a missing girl in Muslim-majority Yobe State.

As a major South Asian brick producing nation, Pakistan employs millions of workers in thousands of brick kiln factories. Many of these workers are Christians, who work as bonded laborers in deplorable conditions. Christian brick kiln workers are frequently denied the right to practice their religion.

UN urged to investigate ethnic cleansing of Nagorno Karabakh

Vartan Oskanian has issued a call at the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva for an investigation into Azerbaijan’s ethnic cleansing of Armenians from Nagorno Karabakh. In a response, Azerbaijan says the Armenians' departure was "voluntary".

Nagorno Karabakh
The Armenian Genocide is not over. On September 19, 2023, Azerbaijan attacked Nagorno Karabakh and forced out its entire Armenian Christian population - nine months to the day after CSI issued a Genocide Warning for the region. Now, the Republic of Armenia itself is in danger - targeted by Azerbaijan and its ally Turkey.
